Being in a leadership position last year really humbled me. Having to make decisions that really impacted productivity brought some of my own faults to my eyes. This team has given me some valuable lessons in my leadership skills and how to conduct myself when I am being watched by people that view me as "in charge".
On the MRA robotics team, getting to build designs for different robots can be fun and bring learning opportunities. However, the overall best part of the robotics team was getting to socialize with students from different grades not only at MRA but also from other schools during meetings and competitions.
During the Nissan Comeptition last year, I really enjoyed the SUMO section of the competition. I had a lot of fun with the robot fighting. It is great to just step out of the classroom and do more hands-on learning, and that is what you get with this robotics team.
